As a significant new investor to Banbury, Stratford-upon-Avon based Health and Beauty company DCS Group has closed a stellar year with double digit growth.

Sales for 2016 increased to £210 million up from £185.7 the previous year showing a huge 13% increase of £24.8 million sales.

The DCS Manufacturing division achieved £8.2m and was up 4%

Export sales increased by 25% to £19.3m with the effects of improved exchange rates helping in the latter part of the year.

DCS plans to move around 220 staff to Noral Way in Banbury in April of this year to a new 25 acre site which is three times larger than its current Stratford-upon-Avon site.

Founder and CEO Denys Shortt OBE comments :

‘We are obviously delighted with the 2016 results but remain focussed on growing further.

'23 years of consistent growth is quite an unusual record and we intend to make it 24!’

‘Our strategic plan is focussed on growing all retail channels. Consumers are choosing different ways to buy their health and beauty brands and in different stores. We are good at adapting to changes very quickly.’

‘We are so excited about the new site at Banbury - it will be an awesome new headquarters for DCS and is conveniently adjacent to the M40.’

Economic Growth lead officer at Cherwell District Council, Steve Newman, said :

“The investment being made in Banbury by DCS is tremendous both for the town and for DCS, ensuring their competitiveness and vitality for the years ahead”.
