Apprenticeship Fair 14 March 2013
6.30pm to 8.30pm at North Oxfordshire Academy (OX16 0UD)
(set up from 4pm) Joint Banbury Schools/ Oxfordshire Councils' Venture

WHAT is it?

This Apprenticeship Fair is the perfect opportunity for any businesses or training providers that have (now or in the future) Apprenticeship opportunities, to be able to showcase both their business and what they can offer the young people in our community. With a rich wealth of talent from the local schools as an audience, businesses can use this opportunity to fill vacancies and/or generate awareness of their Apprenticeships. Businesses that just want to understand what talent/skills are available in the area are also welcome.

WHY be involved?

It is really important for our talented young people to be aware that there are really valuable opportunities on their doorstep. If we want to ensure our talent stream remains in the local area then we all need to promote our Apprenticeship opportunities.

WHO will attend?

This is a joint venture between the Councils and local schools. All of the pupils from at least 6 local schools (15 to 18 year olds) who have an interest in any sort of Apprenticeship will be invited to attend this event.

WHO will exhibit?

Businesses/Training Providers who:

•have Apprenticeship openings (level 2/3 and 4) for 2013

•want to generate awareness for future Apprenticeship openings

•want to understand the localised 'talent/skills base' before providing openings in the area

WHO else?

Oxfordshire County Council, Cherwell District Council and the National Apprenticeship Service will be in attendance to facilitate discussion
