Education

Oxfordshire County Council is the local education authority, and can provide advice on admissions and performance of schools.

There is a large range of independent sector schools, including Bloxham School, Tudor Hall and Sibford School in and around the District, and Drayton School is the first Academy in Oxfordshire.

Oxfordshire County Council has been praised by Ofsted for enhancing the standard of the children's services it provides.

The Ofsted report found that the majority of primary schools and a high proportion of special schools are good or better while a higher than average number of both secondary and sixth form schools were rated as being good or outstanding.
